摘要 Provided is an optical information reading device with which it is possible to increase the speed of distance measurement and to measure distance in a reliable manner. The optical information reading device (1A) is provided with a distance-measurement light emission unit (2) for emitting distance-measurement light (Sa) that forms, on an object to be read, a distance-measurement pattern (101a) in which a light-irradiation region (102a) and a non-irradiation region (103a) are combined. A solid-state imaging element (3) images the distance-measurement pattern (101a) formed on the object to be read and the optical information reading device (1A) thereby acquires an image of the distance-measurement pattern (101a). The optical information reading device (1A) uses an image signal to detect a portion in which the signal attenuates, and measures distance in accordance with the coordinates of the non-irradiation region (103a) in the distance-measurement pattern (101a).
