Disclosed are a method and system for downloading a content, comprising: when a portal side receives a download-triggering request, generating a pseudo uniform resource locator (URL) for the content-to-be-downloaded, establishing corresponding relationship information of the pseudo URL and a real URL of the content, and transmitting the pseudo URL of the content to a terminal-awaiting-to-download-the-content; the terminal-awaiting-to-download-the-content triggering the download on a download engine on the basis of the pseudo URL; and, on the basis of the pseudo URL, the download engine searching for the corresponding relationship information of the pseudo URL and the real URL of the content, acquiring the real URL of the content, and downloading the content to the terminal-awaiting-to-download-the-content on the basis of the real URL acquired. In the present invention, the pseudo URL is generated for the content-to-be-downloaded, thus obscuring content-related information, and preventing the problems of hotlinking and lengthy link address. |
