A massage device includes a slide mechanism which causes an ottoman provided at the front part of a seat section to slide towards a user or away from a user who is seated on the seat section. The ottoman includes a foot massage section (24) provided on a foot holding surface (22a) for holding the feet of the user. The massage device is further provided with the following: a biasing member (71) which applies to the slide mechanism bias force for sliding the ottoman; and an intermediate position lock mechanism (50b) which opposes, at an intermediate position where the ottoman slides via the slide mechanism, the bias force of the biasing member (71) which causes the ottoman to slide in the direction of approach. The ottoman is configured so that the biasing direction of the biasing member (71) and the direction orthogonal to the foot holding surface (22a) are different.
