MONITOR PROTEIN FOR ANALYZING EXPRESSION OF MEMBRANE PROTEIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor protein easily and quickly determining the expression of a membrane protein on a cell membrane.

SOLUTION: The monitor protein capable of determining the expression of a membrane protein on a cell membrane is composed of a fusion protein obtained by binding a membrane protein with a non-secretory luminescent protein. There are also provided a DNA encoding the monitor protein, its expression vector, a cell expressing the vector, a method for the detection and determination of the monitor protein, and a method for determining the inhibiting or promoting activity of a test substance to the expression of the membrane protein on a cell membrane and the intracellular transportation of the membrane protein.
