<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that allows a user to grasp a situation, in which stop operation of moving image recording due to an increase in the housing temperature may occur, beforehand. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: a setting section for setting one recording mode out of a plurality of recording modes that sets image quality of moving images to be recorded; and a display control section for controlling a display capable of displaying remaining recording time of the moving images. The plurality of recording modes includes: a first recording mode generating heat such that the housing temperature reaches a predetermined temperature in a case where moving image recording is continuously operated in the first recording mode; and a second recording mode generating heat such that the housing temperature cannot reach the predetermined temperature in a case where a moving image forming section is continuously operated in the second recording mode. The display control section obtains the remaining recording time based on the housing internal temperature and further determines whether or not the one recording mode having been set is the first recording mode.
