<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal blood pump for preventing an impeller from raising excessively in rotating the impeller and contacting to an inner surface of a housing, having less rotational resistance of the impeller and less heat generation. <P>SOLUTION: The centrifugal blood pump 1 includes a housing 2 and an impeller 3. The housing 2 includes a blood inflow port 22, a blood outflow port 23, and a shaft forming part 5 projecting from the inside upper surface of the housing 2 to the lower direction having a shaft part 52. The impeller 3 includes a magnetic body 41 and a shaft receiving part 35 having an concave part 36 capable of receiving the shaft part 52 of the shaft forming part 5. The impeller can rotate at a state of receiving the shaft part of the shaft forming part to the shaft receiving part, while the upper surface near the center part of the impeller is prevented from contacting an inner surface of the housing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
