<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic measuring apparatus such as a caliper, a micrometer, a comparator or a height gauge, having a detachable intelligent processing and wireless communication interface. <P>SOLUTION: A portable dimension measuring apparatus includes a measuring circuit arranged for determining data from a measured value generated from a sensor and a compartment which is equipped with an internal power source, is closed by a detachable cover, and of which the internal power source is replaceable.
