GLUCOSE UPTAKE PROMOTER AND ITS APPLICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glucose uptake promoter which can suppress reduction in the insulin-dependent and/or non-insulin-dependent uptake of sugar into a muscle cell tissue by addition of small amount, when a high-fat diet largely comprising saturated fatty acid is taken.

SOLUTION: The glucose uptake promoter comprises arachidonic acid as an active constituent. The glucose uptake promoter particularly improves insulin resistance.
