<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen detection system which allows the hydrogen detection sensitivity of a hydrogen sensor to be properly restored. <P>SOLUTION: A hydrogen detection system comprises a hydrogen sensor 10A which has a detection element formed of a catalytic metal burning hydrogen to generate combustion heat and detects hydrogen concentration on the basis of the changed value (resistance value) of the detection element, heating means which heats the detection element, a hydrogen tank 121, a hydrogen guide piping which guides hydrogen in the hydrogen tank 121 to the detection element, a cleaning valve 124 which is arranged in the hydrogen guide piping, a first dilution part which allows hydrogen to be diluted with cathode off-gas between the cleaning valve 124 and the detection element, and an ECU 150 which controls the heating means and the cleaning valve 124. The ECU 150 controls, at the time of cleaning, the concentration of hydrogen which proceeds from the first dilution part to the detection element through the cleaning valve 124, such that the temperature of the detection element reaches equal to or higher than the desorption temperature of silicon attached by the combustion heat of hydrogen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
