A GUI screen reconfiguration device is provided with: a GUI screen input unit (2) for inputting a GUI screen and a new resolution; a GUI component initial arrangement unit (5) for scaling an inputted GUI screen to a new resolution; an evaluation function calculation unit (6) for calculating an evaluation function based on the GUI components in the inputted GUI screen and the GUI components in the scaled GUI screen, said evaluation function comprising terms indicating that GUI component sizes, GUI component positions, and positional relationships between the GUI components have been saved; an optimized determination unit (7) for determining whether the evaluation function satisfies a convergence condition; a GUI component reconfiguration arrangement unit (8) for reconfiguring the GUI components when the evaluation function does not satisfy the convergence condition; and a GUI screen output unit (4) for outputting the corresponding GUI screen when the evaluation function satisfies the convergence condition. The evaluation function calculation unit (6) calculates the evaluation function on the basis of the GUI components, the GUI components in the inputted GUI screen, and the GUI components in the scaled GUI screen when the GUI components have been reconfigured.
