The roll (1) has a co-rotatable roll pipe (3) supported in an axial middle region on a continuous roll carrier (2) in a radial direction. The roll pipe includes an annular space (4) outside the middle region, where the annular space enables bending of the roll pipe relative to the roll carrier. An annular seal (14) is provided between the roll carrier and an end of the roll pipe or a flange (7), a front disk (9) and roll pin (11). The seal is provided with fastening regions. The seal includes an axially active support (18) on a partial circumference outside the fastening regions.
