The printed circuit board (1) has one or multiple wiring layers (4) and a protection device. A layered protective element (5) is arranged on a wiring layer between two electrical wiring cables on the basis of an intrinsically conductive electric polymer. The electric protective element is electrically measured in form of a resistor between the both wiring cables. The protective element is made of polymers. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a printed circuit board with integrated protection device.
