<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately maintain an exposure pixel position in a main scanning direction within a main scanning area corresponding to an actual image area. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device includes a light source, a rotary polygon mirror for scanning an image carrier in a main scanning direction with a light beam by a plurality of rotating reflection surfaces, a light branching section for branching a part of the light beam scanning a surface of the image carrier by the rotary polygon mirror, a light detection unit arranged at a position corresponding to a position in the main scanning area of the image carrier with respect to the light beam branched by the light branching section, and a correction unit for correcting the position of the exposure pixel position at the position of the light detection unit based on a detection result of the light detection unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
