<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device that has a constitution for biasing a rack to a pinion and is reduced in the number of part items. <P>SOLUTION: An annular first supporting member 31 slidably supports a rack shaft 14 in the axial direction. A screw member 45 imparts a prescribed load F1 to the first supporting member 31 and fixes the first supporting member 31 to a housing 23. A first protrusion 51 of the first supporting member 31 transmits the prescribed load F1 to the rack shaft 14 as a biasing force for biasing the rack 17 to the pinion 16. The first supporting member 31 also serves as a function as a bush for supporting the rack shaft 14 and a function as a support yoke for biasing the rack 17 to the side of the pinion 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
