<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To independently perform, at the same time, the adjustment of the resonant frequency of a resonance body and the adjustment of the positions of nodes of the resonant frequency. <P>SOLUTION: An ultrasonic application device 20, provided with the resonance body 2 which is connected with an ultrasonic transducer 1 for producing ultrasonic vibration to resonate with the ultrasonic vibration and vibrates an ultrasonic wave radiator ultrasonically, is also provided with: a supporting member 3 which is provided for an intermediate part of the resonance body 2 in a direction orthogonal to an ultrasonic vibration direction, and supports the resonance body 2 to a fixing member; and actuators 6 and 7 which apply a force in the direction orthogonal to the vibration direction of the ultrasonic vibration and are provided at positions on both sides of the supporting member 3 of the resonance body 2. The actuators 6 and 7 can adjust the severity of force to apply it to both sides of supporting member 3 of the resonance body 2, and thereby can perform both of the adjustment to conform the resonant frequency of the resonance body 2 itself to the frequency at which the resonance body 2 ultrasonically vibrates and the adjustment to conform the position of the node of the frequency at which the resonance body 2 ultrasonically vibrates to the position of the supporting member 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
