The present invention relates to a shock-absorbing shoe sole. The shock-absorbing shoe sole includes: an insole; a midsole disposed under the insole to provide a receiving space part in a lower side thereof from an arch portion of a foot up to a heel; a shank part which is coupled to the receiving space part of the midsole and which is harder than the midsole, the shank part being bent downward so as to lift the heel upward, thereby providing elastic restoring force; a heel sponge part which is coupled to a lower portion of the shank part in the receiving space part of the midsole and which is softer than the midsole, the heel sponge part being disposed on a portion corresponding to the heel of the foot; and an outsole which is coupled to a lower portion of the heel sponge part. In the shock-absorbing shoe sole, when the shoe contacts the ground, an impact may be multiply absorbed by the shank part and the heel sponge part which are disposed between the midsole and the outsole. Thus, since the hardness of shoe sole varies, the impacts applied from the ground when the shoe contacts the ground may be completely absorbed to protect the ankle and knee joints. Also, when the shoe contacts the ground, the largest impact applied to the heel portion may be multiply absorbed and dispersed by the relatively harder shank part and the relatively softer heel sponge part in order to minimize the impact at the heel portion. In addition, the raw-material content of the shoe sole for absorbing multiple types of shocks may be reduced, and the shoe sole may be lightweight.
