A tenacious and flexible surface is produced on a surface by spraying thereon firstly a layer of cold-hardening synthetic resinous material, and then dry-spraying a powdered metal or other substance into said layer using cold or hot gas under high pressure as a propellant. A liquid hardener is added to the synthetic resinous material, and the underlying surface may be prepared by sand-blasting. Besides metal, glass, hard rubber, wood, asbestos and basalt may be sprayed into the coating.</p> |
