PURPOSE: A method for controlling team play of online game and a system thereof are provided to compete with a user in a team play and to supply a benefit about the team play, thereby the user uses the team play efficiently. CONSTITUTION: A screen displays a team play list capable of an application for participation of a character of a user(S10). The application for participation of the character of the user inputted by one team play is received (S20). The character of the user participates in the team play (S30). An organization of the team play is completed when a number of a user in the team play is reached to a number of a preset formation user (S40).
