Method and device for increasing the polarity of the surface of an EPP moulded part

Increasing the polarity of the surface of a molding made of expanded polypropylene (EPP), comprises a surface treating, forming the EPP molding by vapor deposition of EPP particles in a mold (3), and subjecting the EPP particles to the surface treatment prior to evaporation in the mold. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a device comprising a reservoir (1) from which the EPP particles of the mold are fed via a conveyor line (2) and a pre-treatment unit (4), which is disposed at the conveyor line for the surface treatment of the polypropylene (PP) particles; and (2) an EPP particle for the preparation of a molding made of EPP, where the EPP particle is subjected to a surface treatment.
