<p>There is provided a technique of setting up and updating a tree in a network. In a method aspect, there are provided the steps of determining a declaration of a tree, determining a reception of the declaration, the declaration including attributes for setting up the tree, updating ingress checking, identifying ports that are to be modified, modifying the ports that have been identified, and propagating the declaration along the tree wherein the tree defines an active topology in an Ethernet network.</p> |
