A telescoping clampless pole for use in cleaning high windows comprises two or more telescoping tubes of different diameter which slide up inside each other, the tubes incorporate stops and guides which in use keep the pole together and stop the tubes rotating inside each other and no external clamps are used. The pole utilises a clean liquid feed hose to stop the pole at any given height so that the cleaning can be carried out. The sections of telescoping pole are shunted up to the given height by an upward arm movement and held at that height by means of gripping the hose against the bottom of the pole to keep the sections at the required height. The sections may also be shaped so that they prevent rotation from taking place. |
