The piece of jewelry has two spaced end caps and a changeable decoration unit held between the end caps. The end caps partially overlap a compressible central arrangement having a slide link. The decoration unit has a cylinder support that encloses the central arrangement and has an inner cam for engaging the slide link for forced movement of the central arrangement in successively changing decoration unit areas into an end cap cover and out from the end cap cover.
