The mixer has a mixer shell (18) attached in a tap housing and controllable by a control lever (14) and comprising a hot water inlet to which a hot water line is attached. The shell has an outlet opening flowably connected with a water outlet, where water flowing through the outlet opening is regulated up to maximum flow during rotation of the lever into an adjustment range (beta). Mixed water flowing through a mixed water outlet opening into the water outlet is reduced against the maximum flow during rotation of the lever into another adjustment range (alpha) of highest flow.
