The equipment has a wire coupling link (14) provided with a bidirectional digital bus, for coupling a pilot box (10) to a service box (12). The service box has an audio codec (56) that couples the digital bus to a low frequency power amplifier (52). Interconnection arrangements are formed of sockets (38), a line-in terminal and a line-out terminal, for wire connection to peripheral devices of the equipment. A power supply module (46) directly supplies power to circuits of the service box and indirectly supplies power to circuits of the pilot box via the digital bus. The bidirectional digital bus is a dual universal serial bus (USB)bus. The peripheral devices are formed of a third generation (3G)key (40), a USBkey (42), a portable music player (44), a microphone (62), steering-wheel control buttons (68) and a car radio (72). |
