The antenna system comprises a dipole antenna (4) that receives or transmits the electromagnetic wave, and a device (1) for rotating the polarization direction of the dipole antenna. The device has a sleeve that is arranged about the axially oriented dipole antenna and formed with several concentrically arranged sleeve-shaped layers having parallel conductors whose orientation changes from layer to layer. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing device for rotating polarization direction of dipole antenna.
