PURPOSE: A spindle motor is provided to reduce friction which occurs during rotation of a shaft. CONSTITUTION: One end of a shaft(120) is inserted into a receiving groove. The shaft includes a separation preventing protrusion. A magnet bearing unit(130) is arranged in the receiving groove. The magnet bearing unit supports the shaft by magnetic force. A cap member(140) is installed in a fixing member. The cap member is connected to the separation preventing protrusion to prevent separation of the shaft from the receiving groove.
