PURPOSE: A signal measuring method and an apparatus thereof in a wireless communication system are provided to measure a signal of neighbor base stations without distortion of the signal. CONSTITUTION: A controlling unit(609) measures a neighbor cell in a first frequency wideband. The controlling unit measures a serving cell by applying first pattern information in case a predetermined condition is satisfied. The controlling unit measures the serving cell without applying the first pattern information in case the predetermined condition is not satisfied. The controlling unit evaluates a serving cell measuring result for measuring the serving cell.
