PURPOSE: A method for installing wave dissipating blocks is provided to obtain strength against heavy external force like temporary diastrophism or waves and to prevent wave dissipating blocks from being collapsed. CONSTITUTION: A method for installing wave dissipating blocks is as follows. A first leg body among four leg bodies(2a,2b,2c,2d) of a wave dissipating block(1) heads to a vertically upward direction and the rest of the leg bodies are attached in the first leg body. Multiple wave dissipating blocks are crossly arranged in zigzag on a same surface to form a first floor wave dissipating block layer(11). A first leg body among four leg bodies of other wave dissipating block heads to a vertically downward direction. Multiple wave dissipating blocks are placed on the first floor wave dissipating block layer in a state where the first leg body heading to the vertically downward direction is fitted between the leg bodies heading to the vertically upward direction to form a second floor wave dissipating block layer(12).
