PURPOSE: An isomalto-oligosaccharide containing powder composition having low absorbency, and a producing method thereof are provided to obtain the composition containing high purity isomalto-oligosaccharide. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of an isomalto-oligosaccharide containing powder composition comprises the following steps: adding beta-amylase, pullulanase, and transglucosidase into liquefied starch, and hydrolyzing and transition reacting the mixture to obtain saccharified liquid; passing the saccharified liquid through a column filled with a positive ion exchange resin for fractionating and obtaining a fractionated and saccharified liquid; and obtaining powder from the fractionated and saccharified liquid. The fractionated and saccharified liquid contains glucose, maltose, maltotriose, and isomalto-oligosaccharide as saccharides. The concentration of the isomalto-oligosaccharide in the composition is greater than 80wt%.
