PURPOSE: A blood pressure measuring system having an embedded microphone and a blood pressure measuring method using an embedded microphone are provided to reduce burden of an examinee by measuring blood pressure with a cuff compressing examinee's upper arm. CONSTITUTION: A cuff(101) is worn on examinee's upper arm and coupled with an air feed tube. A pump is connected to the air feed tube and injects air into the cuff. A pressure sensor detects a signal indicating the internal pressure of the cuff. A valve(103) discharges the air from the cuff. A microphone(105) detects acoustic signals in the cuff or the air feed tube.
