PURPOSE: An actuator and a voice coil motor having the same are provided to prevent surrounding pollution due to an adhesive for separation or combination of a lens fixing unit and a plate spring. CONSTITUTION: An actuator(400) for a voice coil motor comprises a lens fixing unit(200), a magnetic field generating unit(250), a plate spring(300), and a metallic member(350). A lens which transfers light to an image sensor is arranged inside the actuator. The lens fixing unit forms a coupling recess on the upper surface or bottom surface. The magnetic field generating unit is arranged at the outer circumference of the lens fixing unit and generates a magnetic field. The plate spring forms a penetrated hole at the location putting opposite to the coupling recess of the lens fixing unit. The metallic member is inserted into the coupling recess through the penetrated hole and is welded to the plate spring.
