PURPOSE: A soundproof wall for a railway is provided to maximize a noise reducing effect by controlling the height of a soundproof member depending on the kind of a railway. CONSTITUTION: A soundproof wall(100) for a railway comprises a foundation block(110), posts(120), a rotary shaft(130), a soundproof member(140), and a control unit. The foundation block is extended along a railway and has an actuating space(111) and a slot. The slot connects the actuating space and the top of the foundation block to each other. The posts are arranged on the top of the foundation block in a line. The rotary shaft is arranged inside the actuating space and ascends and descends the soundproof member through rotation. The soundproof member is wound around the rotary shaft and is protruded to the outside through the slot when the rotary shaft is rotated. The control unit ascends and descends the soundproof member by powering the drive unit.
