FIELD: transport. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport and aims at perfecting locomotives. Geared-wheel unit consists of motor, two identical gearings arranged on both sides of said motor and made up of encased gears fitted on motor shaft extensions and gears fitted with interference on mounted axle. Bearing assemblies of rolling bearings are arranged between gearing wheels no axle. Outer races of said bearings are fitted in half-housing of mounted provided with flange for motor to be attached. Running wheels have hollow cylindrical bosses to support drive gear wheels. One rolling bearing represents locking element while another one makes floating element. Note here that both assemblies are partially located inside running wheel cylindrical bosses. Labyrinth seal rings on drive gear wheel are detachable elements. ^ EFFECT: higher bearing capacity and reliability. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg
