METHOD FOR NUMERICAL DETERMINATION OF OROTIC ACID IN NATURAL MILK

The invention relates to analytical chemistry, in particular to a method for determination of orotic acid in milk. The method for luminescent determination of orotic acid in milk is based on use of solid-phase sensitized luminescence of terbium (III) ion in complex with orotic acid that is registered in phase of sorbent on plate for thin-layer chromatography. Intensity of luminescence of sorbate that increases in presence of inorganic substance – triton X-100 is registered at pH 6.8-7.2. Content of orotic acid is determined by calibration graph. The method proposed provides increase of selectivity of determination and makes it possible to decrease the boundary of determination of orotic acid.
