发明名称 CATCHER FOR LOAD LIFTING MECHANISMS
摘要 A catcher for load lifting mechanisms relates to lifting equipment, namely, to safety devices forming part of lifting systems and preventing from falling of cargo, platforms, cabins and other lifting devices in case of break of a rope. The catcher for load lifting mechanisms has an equalizing block mounted on a metal structure and enveloped by the rope, with which the main brake components are connected, each of which is made in the form of strips spring-loaded and pressed against the rope by adjusting screw connections. On the metal structure on either side from the ends of brake bars of main brake components stops are installed. Between each stop and ends of each main brake bar with gaps one or more brake damping elements are mounted. In the case the bars of damping brake elements as compared with the bars of main brake elements are shorter and pressed against the rope with a less effort. Advantage of the disclosed catcher is the provision of gradually-step increase in the movement resistance of the branches of broken rope in the brake elements during retention of cargo, increase of time of loading the weight of cargo for the undamaged branches of broken rope and metal structure, which reduces the dynamic load on metal structure of bridge and gantry cranes with two rigid supports up to the values, at which the coefficient of dynamic load on metal structures of such cranes does not exceed its safety factor subject to the Regulations for Design and Safe Operation of Cranes.
