PURPOSE: A thermoelectric power generation and an exhaust heat recovery apparatus using exhaust gas of vehicles are provided to perform both thermoelectric power generation and exhaust heat recovery by selectively opening and closing an exhaust gas path. CONSTITUTION: A thermoelectric power generation and an exhaust heat recovery apparatus using exhaust gas of vehicles comprise an exhaust gas inlet(211), an exhaust gas outlet, a first exhaust gas path(300), a first coolant path(310), a first layer(320) for arranging thermoelectric modules, a second exhaust gas path, and an opening/closing door(700). A first thermoelectric module is formed on an outer surface of the first coolant path. The thermoelectric module contacting with the outer surface of the first coolant path is placed in a cooling element of the first thermoelectric module. The second exhaust gas path is installed to contact with a heating element of the thermoelectric module. The second exhaust gas path connects the exhaust gas inlet and the exhaust gas outlet. The opening/closing door selectively opens and closes the first exhaust gas path and the second exhaust gas path.
