METHOD FOR DISTRACTION OF CORTICAL BONE OF HAND

A method for the distraction of the cortical bone of the hand provides for the installation of the distraction apparatus for the graduated distraction of the bone fragments and the following auto-osteal plastic reconstruction of the defect. Onto the distal bone fragment, the metal U-shaped brace with the openings is installed in a way providing the middle part of the brace to be placed at the end-face of the bone and the legs of the brace – along the bone. The wires of the distraction apparatus are passed successively through the openings of the first leg, the bone and the openings of the second leg.
