PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a cationic water-dispersion resin is provided to provide a cationic water-dispersion resin with improved water resistance, storage stability, flexibility, salt resistance, maintaining excellent physical property of existing acryl-urethane water-dispersion resin. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a cationic water-dispersion resin comprises: a step of obtaining a polyurethane prepolymer by reacting ionomers having polyol, isocyanate, and tertiary amine in a backbone under the presence of solvent and catalyst; a step of obtaining a polyurethane water-dispersion resin by adding quaternary ammonium neutralizer and water into the polyurethane prepolymer; a step of obtaining a chain-extended polyurethane water-dispersion resin by adding a chain extender into the polyurethane water-dispersion resin; and a step of reacting the chain-extended polyurethane water-dispersion resin with a silicon acryl monomer, a hydrophobic acryl monomer, and an acrylic monomer with one or more hydroxyl groups under the presence of an initiator.
