FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: composition of a membrane for an ion-selective electrode contains an electrode-active component, a plasticiser, polyvinyl chloride and a lipophilic additive; the lipophilic additive used is di-2-ethylhexyl sodium sulphosuccinate, which is taken in amount of 0.5-3.0 wt % based on the weight of the mixture of the plasticiser and polyvinyl chloride; the electrode-active component is taken in amount of 1.0% of the weight of the mixture of the plasticiser and polyvinyl chloride, and the mixture of plasticiser and polyvinyl chloride is taken in ratio of 2:1 and in an amount which brings the total weight of the membrane to 100%. ^ EFFECT: significant reduction in cost of the lipophilic additive in the composition of the membrane for an ion-selective electrode while preserving its characteristics, which enables mass production of sensor elements of ion-selective electrodes and use thereof for quantitative determination of concentration of different ions in aqueous solutions. ^ 6 cl, 1 tbl |
