PURPOSE: A solid oxide fuel cell is provided to increase gasification and accomplish high power density by mixing and using the solid carbon fuel with catalyst. CONSTITUTION: A solid oxide fuel cell comprises honeycomb(2) which includes solid carbon fuel and gasification catalyst, a fuel electrode(3) which provides fuel gas generated by gasification of the solid carbon fuel, an electrolyte layer(5) formed on one-side of the fuel electrode, and air electrode(4) formed in the other side of the electrolyte layer. The solid carbon fuel comprises solid coal in which less than 1% of ash contained. The solid carbon is graphite, activated carbon or carbon black. |
