FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organoaluminium synthesis and specifically a method of producing 2-alkyl-1,4-bis(diethylaluminio)butanes of general formula (1): (1), R=n-C4H9, n-C6H13, n-C8H17. The method involves reaction of -olefins of general formula R-CH=CH2, where R is as described above, with a second reactant in the presence of magnesium (Mg, powder) and a Cp2ZrCl2 catalyst in tetrahydrofuran at room temperature.
