PURPOSE: A method for inserting and withdrawing a tool in a storage is provided to insert or withdraw a tool to/from a storage storing gas under pressures like combustible gas of very low temperature. CONSTITUTION: A method for inserting and withdrawing a tool in a storage is as follows. An area in which a shuttle(3) comprising a tube-shaped recessed part for surrounding the shuttle and a guide(4) are interacted is provided. The shuttle is moved in a guide in a predetermined sliding direction and the pressure of the recessed part is maintained over the pressure of fluid storing in a storage. Maintaining the pressure is achieved by injecting inert gas.
