PURPOSE: A transmission lever motion detecting apparatus of a transmission cable for a manual transmission vehicle is provided to prevent fuel consumption by controlling an engine based on the operation of a transmission lever. CONSTITUTION: A transmission lever motion detecting apparatus of a transmission cable for a manual transmission vehicle comprises a magnet(220), a hole sensor(230), an engine control unit(250), and a timer(240). The magnet is comprised in the cabled rod. The hole sensor is comprised in a guide pipe. The hole sensor detects the magnetic force of the magnet during the reciprocation of a cable rod. The engine control unit receives the information of the magnetic force detected in the hole sensor. The timer is operated by the engine control unit.
