PURPOSE: A vehicle door locking apparatus is provided to prevent the manipulation of a lock knob to be transferred to a central lock unit and to prevent the manipulation of an internal knob to be transferred to a release unit. CONSTITUTION: A latch gear installed in a car body restricts a striker. A release unit(30) releases the restriction of the latch gear by transferring the active force of an external knob. A blocking member(69) is connected to the release unit and blocks the active force of the external knob to be transferred to the latch gear. A central lock unit(40) transfers the blocking member and controls the transfer of the active force of the external knob. An internal release unit(80) transfers the active force of an internal knob to the release unit and releases the restriction of the latch gear. An interlink lock unit(96) restricts the internal release unit so that the active force of the internal knob is not transferred to the release unit. A dead lock unit(90) supplies active force to the interlink lock unit and restricts the central lock unit.
