PURPOSE: A voltage regulator is provided to improve overshoot properties by operating the regulator without the excessive overshoot of output voltage. CONSTITUTION: A voltage regulator has an error amplification circuit, a current limiting circuit(101), and a voltage limiting circuit(102). The error amplification circuit amplifies the difference between voltage divided from voltage outputted from an output transistor and reference voltage and controls the gate of the output transistor. The current limiting circuit limits output currents of the output transistor. The voltage limiting circuit limits output voltage of the output transistor. |
