PIEZOELECTRIC CERAMIC COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: A piezoelectric ceramic composition is provided to have large value of piezo-electric constant, mechanical quality factor and electromechanical coupling coefficient by adding either a sintering aid or both the sintering aid and donor. CONSTITUTION: A piezoelectric ceramic composition comprises a compound which is represented by chemical formula 1 and CuO. The chemical formula 1 is as follows: XPb (ZraTib) O3- YPb (AlcNbd) O3- ZPb (MneSbf) O3. In the chemical formula 1, X+Y+Z=1, 0.8<=X<1.0, 0.04<=Y<=0.1, 0.04<=Z<=0.1, a+b=1, 0.4<=a<=0.6, 0.4<=b<=0.6, c+d=1, 0.2<=c<=0.4, 0.6<=d<=0.8, e+f=1, 0.2<=e<=0.4, 0.6<=f<=0.8. 0.5-2.0 wt% or 1.5 wt% of CuO is included based on the total weight of the composition. The piezoelectric ceramic composition is represented by chemical formula 2. The chemical formula 2 is as follows: 0.9Pb(Zr0.48Ti0.52)O3-0.05Pb(Al1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.05Pb(Mn1/3Sb2/3)O3. The composition additionally includes La2O3. 0-0.5 wt% of La2O3 is included based on the total weight of the composition.
