The device has a server connected to a network, where network connection uses a communication protocol of a server computer to be protected. The server includes a ROM connected to another server by using a connection operating a communication protocol other than that of the server computer. The latter server is connected to the server computer and equipped with an input/output card installed on a motherboard of the latter server, to perform a reset function for the former server and to perform a power supply function for the latter server.
