<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain safety in encryption communication by simple processing even if a key used for the encryption communication leaks out. <P>SOLUTION: In a game device including at least one of a first control part and a second control part that can perform encryption communication each other, the first control part and the second control part include a first storage area and a second storage area for storing keys used for encryption communication, respectively. The first control part and the second control part perform encryption communication using a key stored in the first storage area; and the first control part obtains a new key from the outside, stores the newly obtained key in the first storage area, and uses a key stored in the second storage area for encryption and transmission to the second control part.
