Provided is an illumination device capable of providing uniform illumination along a specific direction. The illumination device is provided with a shaped member which extends in a specific direction, which has an opening section that opens towards a front side in a front/rear direction perpendicular to the specific direction, and which has a curved shape that protrudes towards a rear side; a base member which has translucent properties and is accommodated inside the shaped member while being exposed to the outer side of the shaped member via the opening section of the shaped member; a covering member which has light blocking properties and covers at least a portion of a front side portion of the base member from the front; and light emission means. The light emission means are fixed inside a recess section of the base member so as to be separated from each other in the specific direction. |
