The stand-up wheelchair (1) has chassis (2) with wheels (3,4) and seat assembly (5) provided between wheels (3) which are arranged coaxially to each other. The seat assembly is pushed to sitting position when the person is in seating position, and the seat assembly is pushed to erecting position when the person is in erect position. The seat assembly is retained over maximum width (B) in sitting position. The seat assembly is retained at a preset width smaller than largest track width (SB) of coaxially aligned supporting wheels (3) in erect position.
